Daniel Kelley – Executive Director
Dan has been working in human services in a variety of settings since 1994. He has extensive experience in Management, Leadership, Finances, Grant Writing, Regulatory Compliance and Strategic Planning. He has worked in Care Coordination and Case Management using the person-centered approach which is essential to keeping with OCL’s mission. Dan grew up in Central New York and remains here with his family. Dan received a Bachelor of Arts at LeMoyne College and a Masters in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He has been involved in various organizations and advocacy groups within the community. Dan has two children with a developmental disability so what we do and who we are at OCL is very dear to his heart.
Lawton began at OCL in 2000 as Director of Community Employment. Prior to OCL, Lawton worked for over 15 years in human services after a career in for-profit management with supervisory experience. He is responsible for directing OCL’s employment services in partnership with the NYS Education Department / ACCES-VR, and extended supported employment services, and individualized volunteer services in partnership with the NYS Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). He also oversees the administration of OCL’s college Access service. Lawton is a member of NYS APSE, holds a certificate in supported employment from Region II Rehabilitation Continuing Educational Program, SUNY at Buffalo and a certificate in vocational evaluation from the Center on Rehabilitation Synergy, State University at Buffalo.
Lisa Asper – Fiscal Intermediary
Lisa comes to us with a degree in Accounting and also has experience working in our Business Department before being promoted to the FI position. As the FI for OCL, Lisa is responsible for all the Self Directed Plans and budgets. She approves all expenditures and manages payroll of self-hired staff. She works closely with people supported and their families on issues related to budgets or change in staffing. Lisa is deeply committed to each person we support while ensuring that we stayed focused on each person’s plan and budgets.
Kate is responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Compliance Plan and Program. Kate has worked for over ten years in the human services field. Kate has a background in Management, Quality Assurance, and Incident Management. As Corporate Compliance Officer, Kate is able to assist the agency with being compliant with state and federal standards, while staying true to their mission. Kate also works to ensure that we stay compliant with our goals and promises to CQL and tallies the POM’s results. Kate is also deeply embedded to the philosophy of OCL and ensures that we stay true both in compliance and philosophy.
Sam Roux – ACCESS College Coordinator
Sam trains and supports the campus mentors, adapts course work and works as a liaison with the SU community. His primary goal is to open up the doors to what each student needs for a fully inclusive college educational experience. Sam has a Bachelor’s degree in Adolescent Education from SUNY Fredonia. He worked as a campus mentor prior to being appointed to coordinator, which gives him a first-hand understanding of what mentors and students need to be successful on campus. Sam is an avid musician and frequently plays in the area.
Alex Lupole – Receptionist
When you call or visit OCL, Alex engages you with his warm greeting and friendly manner. Among his duties as Receptionist is answering the phones, setting up meetings and conferences and sending out internal and external agency emails. He also updates the OCL Facebook page. and Website Alex enjoys his work at OCL and it shows. As Receptionist, Alex sets a pleasant tone for the agency that is welcoming, inclusive and caring.
